Would you carry an umbrella with 43% chance of rain?
You look at the forecast and there is a 43% chance of rain. You need to make a small yet very significant decision – should I take an umbrella? Your decision at this point could be the difference between staying warm and dry or getting absolutely soaked and cold.
I asked a number of friends this question and they all agreed that carrying the umbrella was a good idea as its relatively light and not very big (depending on which one you have). This led me to thinking that Insurance is kind of like the umbrella. Insurance is for life’s unexpected rain. When everything is running smoothly and life is great it isn’t something you might think about at all but when the unexpected comes along it’s an absolute lifesaver.
Life can bring many surprises when you least expect them. Whether the birth of a new child or your children graduating we will have pleasant surprises and of course the negative ones too. Loss and serious illness can also happen when we least expect it and it brings our worlds crashing down in an instant.
Now, we can talk about it and you could think to yourself it won’t happen to me but in my working life I have seen it happen to many including myself. By setting up the right insurance and ensuring your finances are correctly looked after you can almost ensure that if (and it’s a big if) something does go wrong you are covered.
You may also be pleasantly surprised at just how easy this is to set up and put in place with minimal fuss from your side. As a human speaking to another human why not get in touch with me directly on leon@2plan.com or give me a call for an informal (no pressure) chat on 01483 654135 today.
